Makiki Homes & Condos

There are 2 distinct geographical features: Punchbowl, an extinct tuff cone, and Tantalus, a big hill overlooking Honolulu. Makiki is primarily older houses, some smaller apartment buildings, and one large high rise called Mott-Smith Laniloa. Also Roosevelt High School is in Makiki, along with several churches, markets, and parks. Makiki has excellent views of the city, mountains, and the ocean.

Makiki is extraordinarily convenient, since it's just a couple miles from downtown Honolulu. It's a quick drive to almost everything in Town. Makiki is within a five minute drive Ala Moana, Ward Center, Waikiki Beach, Diamond Head, the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, and Aloha Tower Marketplace.

Maikiki is known for its strong sense of community, and is a well maintained neighborhood of nice homes, especially in the heights. Maikiki District Park has room for plenty of fun, with a nice open space, basketball and tennis courts, swimming pool, a skateboarding park, and a playground for children.

The Maikiki Shopping village has some nice casual dining, a video store, and a small grocery store. Makiki gets frequent rain, which helps to keep yards nice and green, and residents nice and cool.
